Spanish Food!

I bought these truita de patata (tortilla of potatoe) sandwiches nearly every day at the University in Spain. And I made them the other night.
And I was glad Mark showed up just in time to eat some with me.

I love cooking these. They're the best.

New Art Project.

My best friend's birthday is on July 31st. And she's always wanted some type of art thing from me. And since she came to visit me in Spain, and we went to Valencia together for the Las Fallas festival (to celebrate the carpenters of St. George as we watched floats on fire burn for hours) - gave me this idea. So I panted her the Valencian flag in sort of a distorted like fashion, representing fire. Lexi and I both decided that the 4th of july here in the states might be forever ruined... because the firework show after all the float burning- is unbeatable. But. I'm going to present this with her on Sunday since she'll be out of town on her birthday.

Lexi and I at ohh I don't know. 7 am. An all-nighter in Valencia. Ohhh, soo many stories from just this one night. So great. Oh, the memories. The night consisted of watching fireworks, fire, missing 2 trains, staying up all night, eating at mcdonalds at 3 am, a free nepoleon, and a 3 1/2 hour train ride home to Tarragona. And then it was St. Patricks day. So great. Hope she likes it.

We went boating. And it was fun.

Okay so the Holgas aren't supposed to actually look like this- but we learn with trial and error. It will be interesting to see how the next ones turn out!

Meet Holga.

I bought this camera this summer. Marci and Lisa both have Diana's. But this is Holga.

So I went to Colorado...

... with brother Michael for another Xterra triathlon. It was quite a long drive, but it was awesome. It was in Avon/Vail. I had never been to Colorado before. It was sooo pretty. There we were driving through canyons of red rock with pine trees growing out every which way. Vail is like Park City but a lot smaller. I love small towns. We ate at a really good Italian restaurant, went hot tubbing, and got up early the next day to set everything up. It was fun supporting my brother. We're crossing our fingers to see if he qualifies for Nationals held at Snowbasin, Utah. I have pictures.. but I'm sure they'll be on Michael and Abbie's blog in no time. I'll post a link when they're ready. We drove 14 hours in a 24 hour period... kind of nuts. but fun.

Okridge Sunday Brunch

me, Clarke, Brooke. We all ate here and spent a wonderful Sunday afternoon together.
And it was fun. they are both just great friends.

REAL Salt Lake - Soccer - futbol - game.

Dominique and I caught free shirts thanks to us sitting on the front row thanks to Dave.
Mallory and I reunited after soooo long. She's been living in Arizona, and she'll be living in Provo when school starts. It was fun to meet up and talk about funny things that happened in junior high and high school.

I met Mallory with some of her Arizona friends.

and I wanted to roll around in this.
This was just making me think....... two things. wow, this is so not Barcelona futbol... But. Still awesome. And- I wished I had bought 2 barcelona futbol jerseys. But I didn't. I just bought one and sent it to Matt. But it would have been fun to wear here. Oh well. He probably wears it more than I would.

Joe. Joe scalped a ticket from us. And they pretended to be on a date. and it lasted about 15 minutes until Joe wanted shade over a front row seat. Oh yeah, and Salt Lake Real won, 1-0 against Mexico.

July the 4th.

Remember Stephen? Well.. I met him in Spain when he was on his mission in Tarragona. And he drove out from Spanish Fork to come hang out with me for the day. And Sophie wanted to be a part of things.
We went to the parade, played Mario Kart, went to the store, went mini golfing at cherry hill, made/ate dinner, and enjoyed fireworks.
Sadie, Nick, and my nieces all came over. I just love them.
Precious Pearl.

... Only in Utah...
Stephen may have been embarrassed to ride with me on our new cruiser bike that I so patriotically decorated. But it was so worth it. I wasn't embarrassed, I felt awesome.

Shoes. Shoes. Shoes. Lets Get Some Shoes. From Spain.

a new yellow pair for me. And some baby ones for me. I already had the red ones. These were hand made in Morocco. And they stink SO bad. But I love them all. I wish they were all mine..

I had some special requests from people wanting these AWESOME shoes from GRANADA, SPAIN. I ended up getting another pair for myself too. And maybe for my... future child? HAHA. Okay don't get scared, ... these baby shoes were just SO cute though that I had to get them. My awesome friend Courtney sent all of these in the mail for me since I ran out of money and space when I was there in Granada and Cordoba, Spain, once upon a time. Dude yeah.
